Body Ointment

Rose oil has been having its recognition from big cosmetics companies to small producers of all-natural products for health and beauty. And it is continuing to gain more and popularity because of its more than 300 compounds which have proven effects.  

You can see for yourself and try this easy DIY recipe even at home. You will only need the following:

1-ounce sweet almond oil
½  ounce beeswax grated
7 ounces rose water
8 drops rose otto oil (Rosa damascena)

Instructions:

Melt the beeswax with the almond oil over a water bath. Remove from heat and let it cool down until lukewarm. Beat in the rose water until the ointment emulsifies, and then add the 8 drops of rose essential oil.

Transfer to a 9-ounce jar, label, and store in a cool place. It can last up to 3 to 6 months if preserved well.

Safety Tips:

Be sure to always keep your workspace clean. Before making any cosmetic product wash your hands with warm water. Using gloves is preferable. For disinfection, you can boil the dishes you used for 10 min or use alcohol and let dry in open.
